To eDiving:

I am the volunteer Project Manager for Project Baseline: Laguna Beach. Project Baseline is a global grassroots conservation initiative that aims to raise public awareness about the present and future state of aquatic environments through the power of photographs. In a nutshell, Project Baseline: Laguna is driven by a small group of volunteer scuba divers and we have been working on time-lapse images of underwater Laguna over the past year or so.

We are currently assisting the city of Laguna Beach with creating a bathymetry map integrated with geotagged underwater photographs, and I am reaching out to you today to inquire about your source for the bathymetry data used in eDiving sites Deadman's Reef and Shaw's Cove. We have bathymetry data from NOAA and the Seafloor Mapping Lab, however these maps do not appear to include near-shore data. It seems that you may have access to more comprehensive bathymetric maps.

If you would be so kind as to share your source for Laguna Beach bathymetry data, we would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi,
our dataset is proprietary.

We might be interested in providing a low resolution version if DiveNav is properly cited as the source and properly recognized in your project.
