The Diver Sentinel is a system that reduces the risk for a diver to be left behind when diving from charter boats or when diving with a large group of divers.

Diver Sentinel could be used by a dive boat Captain to dynamically verify if a diver is present on the boat - or not.

Diver Sentinel could also be used by a dive team leader that wants to keep track, in real time, of the diving activities of his/her dive team. Examples could be Public Safety Divers, Scientific Divers, Boy Scouts dive teams, High School dive teams.

Lastly, Diver Sentinel could also be used by a solo diver or by a team of 2 buddy divers.

The Diver Sentinel system is composed by 3 elements: the bluebuddy sensor/data logger, the Diver Sentinel app and a mobile device (tablet or smartphone) or the Diver Sentinel Monitor device.

Please see this post for more info.

Diver Sentinel - No Diver left behind - Alpha testing

Postby eDiver » Thu Mar 03, 2016 11:11 am

Yesterday we alpha tested our new Diver Sentinel system at Catalina ‪USC‬ ‪‎Wrigley‬ with several scientific divers.

For the next phase we plan to test the system on a real ‪‎scuba‬ ‪diving‬ boat. If you are a captain and are interested in being a beta tester please let us know.

Diver Sentinel - No Diver left behind

Postby eDiver » Mon Apr 04, 2016 11:20 am

Yesterday we tested Diver Sentinel during a real dive trip aboard the Asante with divers from Scuba Schools of America.

19 divers conducted 70 dives at The Crane dive site in Catalina
The system did work fine and we got very useful feedback.

Thank you again to Captain Gary, Rusty Berry and to all the SSA divers that participated in the test.
