Hi
The spec sheet does not specify which type of battery should be used as replacement.

Has anyone tried to fit a protected battery into the holder?

Any guidance on:

1. Whether the replacement battery (Rechargeable Li-Ion 350mAh, 3.7V AAA)
should be "PROTECTED" or "UNPROTECTED"? The installed battery appears to be unprotected.

2. If a "BUTTON HEAD" (like a standard AAA battery configuration) can be used? The installed battery is NOT "BUTTON HEAD" .

Just replaced my COOTwo battery with a "BUTTON HEAD" (like a standard AAA battery configuration). This was an "unprotected" cell. It worked fine. Could not revive old battery.
