TBuddy Software issue

Postby rhwestfall » Fri Jun 06, 2014 5:52 am

Why, when I enter a starting pressure, and an end pressure does the software change the start value to something else when saved? It also, for some reason, despite an entered end pressure that is saved, the data in the profile is incorrect (lower than end pressure)?

sorry, my bad...

My blueduddy app, ver 1.5, OS Android 4.01+

Nexus 7, Android 4.4.2

downloaded dive from TechBuddy. when I input tank data, and click "save", a message come up that data has been changed, and when i review it, the pressures (starting) are changed. Sometimes the end pressure changes. Also, when reviewing the profile, a point picked toward the end of the dive will show a tank pressure below the end pressure in the log....

also, when exporting a log downloaded from my TechBuddy, through the BB app, updating the log with pertinent info, then syncing w/ DivePal (android ver 1.3.3), the date shown on the log is 1970.... and it won't open in DivePal (error message; "invalid response from server") when i select it...

update 9:00 pm EST:

Okay, I got the clock correct in the BB (found the tutorial), my bad... Will dates/times future dives downloaded be correct or is there something else going on? Still the pressure issue. An example of what I am entering is 3150 for starting pressure (nice heavy fill) in an AL80, and 800 for the end. It keeps changing the start to 3058, and the end (800) this time is showing 799 (shown up as various other values).... At 44:52 of a 46 minute dive, pressure on the profile shows 780 (didn't I say I entered 800 end?????). End pressure is shown as 716.... Weird.....

6/28 (second dive with data logger):

clock date on this dive was back to 1/2000. Do I have to set it every time??????

tank pressure is still readjusting itself from my input numbers.... that is just a little odd if you are intending this to be a useful log....

This should not happen.
What is the FW revision code of your Tech Buddy? And the battery voltage?

When you create a new log, the App uses as default the tank pressure values that you set in the gear section.

in regard to the tank pressure issue (for SAC calculations), would you consider letting it calc with an input pressure in future "updates"?? Honestly, starting pressures are "all over the place", even with the same tank....

let me input a starting pressure that it will use (might be 2700, 2850, 3000, 3100 for an AL80, 3400, 3450, 3480, 2500 for an HPxx) rather than a "default value" for calculations. Tank fills are (in my experience), never 3000 for ALXX, and 3442 for HP every time)...

Am I missing some way to not use a "default" number?
