What are the differences between bluebuddy and Tech Buddy

Postby eDiver » Thu Nov 21, 2013 9:45 am

Q: Other than the maximum depth rating is there any other difference between bluebuddy and Tech Buddy?

A: The main difference between the two devices is the housing.
bluebuddy housing is a shell type comprised by 2 halves and a main o-ring. Additionally bluebuddy has several o-rings for the water contacts and for the pressure sensor.
Tech Buddy is "overmolded" and as such there is no air inside the housing and no o-rings. The depth rating of Tech Buddy is limited by the pressure sensor and not by the housing.

The differences in the housings determine the differences in depth rating, dimensions, weight, cost and battery replacement.
