New Features

New Weapons
- Added support for several new weapons.
- Added 2 pneumatic spearguns (Cressi SL 55 and Mares Sten 11); they operate similar to the current latex band spearguns, but smaller so you can hold more spears at the same time.
- Added advance weapon - DN P12 underwater pistol - that fires fast moving, highly accurate projectiles. It holds 5 rounds. Bullets are expensive (unless you have the Premium package) so use them wisely
- The health kit allows your diver to recover from injury or other serious conditions. Supply is limited, so use it wisely.
- Added support for extra rounds and ammo pooling to all weapon types.
- All weapons support holding a few extra refills (clips) of ammo.
- If you find two weapons that use the same ammo type in a scene, these extra refills will be shared between the two.
- Example: the Electro Emitter and the Plasma Blaster use the same batteries.

Bug Fixes

- Fixed a bug that would cause fish to get stuck playing their turning animation when they should be playing their idle animation.
- Removed "Join Dive Failed" popup that a dive host would receive when someone failed to connect to their dive.
- Fixed a bug where the client joining a dive would continue to connect after the dive connection timeout message had been received. This caused problems if the player then immediately tried to connect to another dive.
- Fixed a bug that could cause a connection to not close correctly on a failed join attempt, causing problems for future join attempts.
- Fixed a crash bug if no spawn points were defined in a site.
- Fixed a bug where cameras showing potential spawn points would always point north (ignoring spawn point direction).
- Fixed a bug that allowed small, fast moving projectiles to pass through static collision objects (like walls, and the ground).

Misc

- New "multiplayer mode" icons.
- Rearranged the tool-bar slightly.
- Current Action indicator is now part of the main diver status indicator.
- Equippable gauges and computers now always start to the left of the default toolbar items, rather than the two being intermingled.
- Added a message to indicate when the O2 mix of a stage bottle cannot be adjusted because it would be too high or too low compared to the paired shallow/intermediate bottle.
- Tweaked timings in the join dive phase to improve connection success rate.
- If you are having trouble connecting to or hosting a buddy dive, please try the steps found here and see if it improves your connection rate.
- Updated all sites to use global definitions for sky and lighting.
- All sites will have some level of cloud cover.
- Lighting conditions will be more consistent from site to site.

r17.1 - Release Notes

Bug Fixes

- Fixed a bug that caused you to lose a perishable spear at the end of a dive if you had a spear loaded in your speargun.
- Fixed a bug in buddy diving that would cause a host to get stuck in a state where they would respond to all requests as though the user attempting to join was on their ban list.
- Fixed a bug that caused some crabs and lobsters to be floating well above the terrain (the flying crabs :D) until they moved for the first time.
- Added icons for perishable ammo for the DN P12, health kit, and weapon battery items.

Misc

- Changed the wording of the message shown when you attempt to start a multiplayer-only dive site in a single player dive.

r17.2 - Release Notes

r17.2 - Release Notes

Bug Fixes

- Fixed a bug that caused first-stage regulators to not be visible on other divers in multiplayer or AI controlled divers, such as Anna in the training sites.
- Fixed a bug in ROV mode that did not apply changes to the ballast weight made in the equipment screen during a dive. Changes to ballast should now apply just like weight belt changes for a diver.
- Fixed a bug with health kits that left your diver stiff and unable to move or turn quickly if you used one to recover from a serious injury.
- Fixed a bug with health kits not removing OTU/CNS toxicity when used.
- Fixed a bug that caused other divers in multiplayer who were using a CCR to generate bubbles as though they were using an open-circuit set up.
- Fixed a bug with angle conversions that could cause certain orientations to appear incorrect in multiplayer dives.

Misc

- Rules for when a diver is visible on the contour map have changed:
- If you or a buddy are within one meter of the surface, then you will be visible regardless of GPS signal strength
- You will still not be able to get exact GPS coordinates in areas where GPS signal strength is low.
- Other divers in death-match mode will be visible on the map when they are within one meter of the surface (so if oldiver just sits at the surface I will be able to find him and go after him ;) )
- The diver icon on the map has been changed slightly:
- You appear as a white diver cutout with a red arrow indicating direction.
- Other divers in multiplayer appear as a brigther green diver.
- Other divers in death-match mode appear as red divers.
- Added AI buddy teams to some sights. In sites that have been set up with them, they will show up as a pair of divers exploring the site.
- Bubbles from other players are no longer visible from an unlimited range. If a player is far away, their bubbles will be less visible or not visible at all.

r17.3 - Release Notes

Postby eDiver » Thu Oct 13, 2011 10:18 pm

r17.3 - Release Notes

Bug Fixes

- Fixed a bug that caused the bubble credits symbol to show up as the "®" symbol at the dive summary screen.
- Fixed a bug that caused a buddy diver of a different gender from yours to use incorrect animation skeletons.
- Fixed a bug with passive divers (the "Dive Bots") that caused them to repeatedly ascend and descend in one location at times.
- Passive divers now have collision boxes, preventing them from going through each other, walls, terrain, and the player.
- Several other misc. fixes to path selection for passive divers, especially when the desired target is in or near an unreachable position.

Misc

- Added a "summary" field to the post-dive log submission form, to enter a few-word summary in addition to the slightly longer details of the dive.
- Added a "submit dive profile" check box to the post-dive log submission form. Checking this box submitts the dive profile and trail to the server for use with divePAL (and in the future on the website).
- Previous submission is cleared after a successful submission.
- AI divers use the same in-betweening system as buddy divers, making for smoother movement.
- Added weighting system to passive diver target selection to encourage them to go to a wider variety of locations throughout the dive site.
- The camera while at a spawn point now has a viewing angle defined by the point itself, rather than a fixed angle for all points.
- Updated to a newer Visual Studio redistributable.

Launcher

- The Visual Studio 2005 redistributable is no longer included in the installer. It will now be downloaded during installation only when needed.

Postby eDiver » Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:41 pm

r17.4 - Release Notes
Released on November 22, 2011

Bug Fixes

- Temporary hotfix for a bug that caused eDiving to become unresponsive when downloading models.
- This issue is not specific to certain models.
- If this happens, the model is not downloaded (but can still be downloaded when reloading the site later).

Misc

- Fine tuned Decompression algorithm slightly (see forum post).
- Improved the accuracy of dive profiles generated by eDiving for use with divePAL.
- Profiles submitted for use with divePAL now submit tank and air consumption information (basically when you do a virtual dive with eDiving, you can then analyze your air consumption with divePAL .... isn't this cool?).

Released on December 27, 2011

- If you die during a dive, you will no longer be able to submit the dive profile for use in divePAL.
- Note: There is no feedback for this, simply if you try to submit the dive with "Submit Profile" chekced, it will behave as if you had not checked "Submit Profile."
- Fixed a bug that cuased ROV dives to crash eDiving 10 seconds into the dive.

Misc

- Profiles submitted for use with divePAL now submit information for open circuit tech dives, specifically Helium mixes and gas switches. Basically now you can use divePAL Tech to analyze your virtual trimix dives ;)
