Posted by eDiver on October 1, 2009 at 7:33 pm in Dive Computer Training
In the Veo 100 Practice site you will be able to practice with the Oceanic dive computer Veo 100.

This dive site is available only to students taking the Veo 100 Specialty Class.

Once you are in this dive site, your diver will be automatically equipped with the Veo 100 and other Oceanic gear.

To use the Veo 100 while diving, first make sure that it is selected. to do so, press "E" and then press the number corresponding to it,
then, to maximize the Veo 100 press "Z".

Once the Veo 100 is maximized, you can control it with the keyboard.

The Veo 100 has only one button. To press the button of the Veo 100, press the key "1".

While diving, press "O" anytime to see the list of your Objectives.

Feel free to post in this sub-forum your comments / feedback / experience with the Veo 100

I like the Veo 100 class a lot! It explains so much better than the regular YouTube Videos.

But, there is one thing that I would like to see changed:

When I dive the Veo 100 I don't want to have the Vortex V-16 fins, I would like to have my Bio-Mechanical fins.

As part of diving the OCEANIC Veo 100 training site, you must be automatically equipped with OCEANIC gear. We understand that you may have faster fins but for the majority who do not have the Bio-Mechanical fins, the V-16's are fast and sufficient for the training site.

I'm glad you enjoyed the class. Let us know if you do decide to get the VEO 100 and your experiences with it after first taking the class.

Well, it seemd that I do not move whenever I try to swim. So I end up aborting the dive everytime. Also, I already have the Veo 100 in the simulator. I will see if I can get it in real life if it doesn't cost to much.

What about letting people using fins ranked lower than the Vortex-V16's use the v16's but edivers who have higher ranked fins use their own fins or at least allow us to use the Pro Force Fins

Same here. It was a bit challenging, but well worth the time taken.

I would like to see far better flashlights with larger capacity batteries. I also like you like the Véo 100 as it is easier to figure out and understand better than the You Tube Videos.
