In game, its alright, i wish i had the credits to take th class, but have done decently reading the manual for it online. So far gas swapping has been easy, the computer tellimg me which gas to switch to. (I usually run, nitrox mix depending on depth in my twins, another higher nitroz mix in an al80 and close to 100% oxygen in the other) the comp asks if im switching, and prompts me to switch, so i use the game to switch tanks, then swap gas on the computer. Havent tried it with rebreather yet, or below 150fsw.

Id like to see more long term saving of settings, i have to switch to salt water every dive, and set max depth/time, dont like that, other than that its awesome. Want it to do helium mixes. being i cant seem to get mixes correct for below 150fsw.

(fsw=feet of salt water)

translation please?

I use the Sol as my main dive computer when i dive for real.

The only times I tested the Sol 's multi-gas feature was using the simulator

DONE ALREADY !
You will see this in action in r10 (maybe even earlier ...r9bis ... if I decide to have an interim release early April)

Ive been a Mares guy myself, i love my air integrated Nemo-air. for my rec stuff. Cant wat to get divemaster this summer, and get into instr. and tech after that. Ive tested a Cochran computer, seems nice, made in texas. although i would love to see the Nitek-X from dive-rite. well, any gear from dive-rite, im a huge fan of theirs, i have a transpac with a venture wing.

Yea the cochran computers look like the pro stuff and you start back at the bottom of a completely new ladder that lays out what do you want to spend question..but the bottom of the ladder in a pro brand generally doesn't have all the functionality of the top of a recreational brand.. good question what more bang can you get for your buck is what i want to know.. so how does the Galaleo Sol stack up against its price equal the gemini cochran functionality wise.

no air integration for some cochran computers, which is fine for the tech diver, switching more than 3 gasses. Id also venture to say that the cochrans are made to be beat up. the sol just has a "pretty" look to it, like a scratch would kill it.

Where did you get this info?
According to this REPORT the Galileo seems middle of the road ..... nor too liberal ... not too conservative. Additionally, if you program it in L5 it becomes very very conservative.

one shop owner i was speaking to on a dive trip was talking to me about dive computers, i mentioned the Sol, he went on about how Uwatec and scubapro had some difficulties when they firs came out with the Sol, im sure everything is fixed now, but from what he was saying that the company had a few lawsuits regarding their computers. I wasnt able to find them while searching the web though. (could be any reasons, hiding them, or they dont exist, or that im not looking hard enough)
